A full-day sailing experience. Plenty of time to relax, to swim, to dry and to repeat this process again and again. On this trip we are making more anchor stops so you have the opportunity to discover the island and its beaches, immerse yourself into the art of sailing, and hang out with the other guests and crew.
After the pick-up we are meeting at the Old Venetian port. Our staff welcomes you on board, where you will be given a briefing about safety, and boat handling. We set our sails and we are off to our destination, Dia island.
Dia is an uninhabited island, 7 nautical miles north and belongs to the Natura 2000 project because of its biodiversity. Our trip lasts almost one hour, during which you can enjoy the silence, the beautiful sunset and the blue surroundings, or you can just participate in the sailing with our skilled skipper.
Our first stop is Agios Georgios, one of the most popular spots on the island. Small history fact, this well-protected cove was one of the major Minoan ports, according to Jacques-Yves Cousteau who discovered some of its remains in 1976. You have the chance to enjoy your first swim, snorkel or relax with a cool refreshment and seasonal fruit for almost an hour.
Then we are heading to our second stop, Panagia cove, another bay with green, crystal water. A chance for a second dive and relaxing. In the meantime, some indulging smell will be coming out of the kitchen because our skipper and host is preparing for you on spot, a yummy meal from fresh and local ingredients. After your lunch and perhaps after a quick dive, we will set our sails again to return back to Heraklion Venetian port. And who knows maybe on our way back we will spot some of our lovely mammal friends, the dolphins.
